Hartman Gary W. 69 of Central Park Blvd Port Orange a retired U.S. Navy Captain died peacefully on March 22nd in his home. A funeral service in his honor will be held Friday March 26 2010 at 6:00 pm at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange Chapel 1201 Dunlawton Ave. Port Orange; family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Born in Binghamton NY Captain Hartman moved here in 1999 from Portsmouth RI. He was a graduate of the University of Rochester and received in 1968 a Master's Degree in International Relations from The American University in Washington D.C. Following a 27 year career in the U.S. Navy as an Intelligence Officer Captain Hartman worked for 11 years as a defense contractor at the U.S. Naval War College Newport RI. He enjoyed music reading gardening and playing racquetball. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Audrey Brodigan of Daytona Beach; daughter Karen and her husband Chris Bollinger of Slidell LA; brother Roger and his wife Mary of Annandale VA and their children John and Ellen; and his sister-in-law Hope Laney her son TJ and his wife Julie and their son Ryan of Daytona Beach.
