Fredrick Fritsch's Obituary
The Reverend Fredrick L. Fritsch of Ormond Beach Florida died November 30 2003 at home of his daughter Marna Etner in Ormond Beach after a long illness. Pastor Fritsch as he was known by all who knew him was born in Allentown Pennsylvania on September 21 1917. He graduated from Allentown High School Muhlenberg College and the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg Pennsylvania.
Pastor Fritsch served as the pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Havertown Pennsylvania for 42½ years; he also had served as Vice-President of the Christian Endeavor Union Vice-President of the Philadelphia Council of Churches Chaplain at the Boy Scout National Jamboree in Irvine Ranch California and at Valley Forge twice and as a member of the Board of Trustees of Lankenau Hospital Philadelphia. He was a member of the Ardmore Optimist Club where he served as President and Chaplain and of the Kiwanis Club of Ormond Beach where he was named the Humanitarian of the year in 2000. He served on the Executive Board of the Central Pennsylvania Synod Lutheran Church in America where he also served as Chairman of the Examining Committee and the Committee of Reference and Counsel.
During the past 60 years he has taken in over 2600 new members officiated at over 700 weddings and 1200 funerals. He had led tour groups to just about every corner of the globe including two to the Holy Land and has served as Chaplain on many cruise ships.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Doris his daughter Marna Etner and his sons David and Robert of Philadelphia three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Viewing will be on Friday December 5 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ormond Funeral Home with Funeral services on Saturday December 6 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church 338 Ocean Shore Blvd. Ormond Beach FL 32176.
