Frederick Henry Vizthum Jr. 86 a resident of Port Orange passed away on February 26 2010 with his family at his side. A visitation and celebration of life will be held from 1-2pm Sunday February 28th at the First Baptist Church of South Daytona 2197 Kenilworth Avenue South Daytona with a service beginning at 2pm.

Fred was born in Roselle NJ to Frederick H. Sr. and Mae Vones Vizthum. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Pearl J. Lee daughters Margarette (Paul) Girvin of Port Orange; Janice (John) Rising of Port Orange; and Betty Jo Giem of Lake Mary; grandchildren Tammy (Brian) McGovern of Port Orange; Debbie (Steve) Campana of Ormond Beach; Dawna (Ben) O'Brien of Daytona Beach; Jason Giem of Lake Mary; Andrew Rising of Port Orange; great grandchildren Coty Porter Cole and Austin Campana and Madison and Macy McGovern; brother Howard (Rose) Vizthum of Laurel Delaware and sister Mary Vizthum of Fort Lauderdale FL; extended grandson Billy Parker 3 step-grandchildren 8 step-great and 6 step-great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents brothers Donald Vizthum of Colonia NJ and Charles Vizthum of Riverside CA and grandson J. R. Hardeman of Daytona Beach.

Before moving to Port Orange in 1993 the Vizthums lived in Key West where he retired from the U. S. Navy in 1966 as Aviation Machinist Mate. Fred was a collector of coins as well as "all things". He enjoyed bowling and fishing and loved traveling every year on cruise ships with his wife and family. He dearly loved spending time with his family.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Fred to the First Baptist Church of South Daytona.
