whose kindness and caring nature touched the lives of all who knew him.

Frederick L. Hill, of DeLand, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at the age of 82.

Born in Endicott, New York, Fred was the son of Ralph D. Hill and Virginia A. Hill, who preceded him in death. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose kindness and caring nature touched the lives of all who knew him.

Fred pursued his education with dedication, graduating from Broome Technical Community College before earning a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo. During his college years, he shared his love of music as a member of the men's a cappella group, the UB Blues, a passion that would remain a constant throughout his life.

It was during his time in western New York that Fred met the love of his life, Sandra. Introduced by a mutual friend at church in North Tonawanda, New York, the two quickly fell in love and went on to share 59 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on faith, family, and love.

A man of deep Christian faith, Fred faithfully served as an Elder and choir member at Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia. In 2014, he and Sandra relocated from Cherry Hill, New Jersey to Florida, where they became active members of St. Andrew's Chapel in Sanford. Throughout his life, Fred's love for music remained evident as a lifelong chorister who found great joy in singing and worship.

Those who knew Fred will remember him for his gentle spirit, unwavering kindness, and genuine concern for others. He lived a life marked by faith, integrity, and devotion to his family.
