Fred passed away peacefully on Sunday February 17, 2019 surrounded by friends and family. He is survived by his loving very special wife of 19 years, Liliana, his wonderful and loving son, Fritz and their dog Tino, who also added immensely to the family. His parents, Harry and Frances Ives, predeceased Fred.
Fred was born in Syracuse New York on April 16, 1941.the son of Harry and Frances Krause Ives and ultimately graduated from Liverpool High School in Liverpool New York where he thoroughly enjoyed playing on the Varsity Football team during much of his high school years. Fred also attended Syracuse University where he majored in Arts.
Fred relished in many outdoor activities such as boating, fishing motorcycling, snowmobiling, classic cars, and traveling, but this strong passion and love for the outdoors all came together for Fred when he joined Yamaha Motor Corporation as a District Manager, a position that he went on to hold for 35 years. Fred's time at Yamaha earned him many accolades during the years and he truly considered himself lucky he could turn a passion of his into a lifelong career. Fred's love of his job was only outweighed by the friendships that he nurtured along the way, both from fellow employees and from those business partners he truly helped be successful, During Fred's time with Yamaha, he also managed to develop a rather "quirky" sense of humor that surely help to provide constant memories and live on in hearts and minds of his family and many friends for years to come.
