Obituary

Fredrick Marvin Bowers-Stevens, 64, of Kissimmee Florida, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. Born in Cobleskill, New York on July 26,1960, to the late Marvin J. Bowers and Martha A. Bowers. Fred moved to Daytona, Florida in 1989.

Fred had an exemplary 35-year career with DaVita Kidney Care. Fred's professionalism, hard work and dedication to providing quality of life for his patients and healthcare teams earned him widespread respect among his peers.

In 2016, Fred married Clyde Ronaldo Stevens and together they created a home filled with love, family, and friends.

An avid swimmer and dancer. Fred enjoyed traveling around the world with family and friends. He was a committed volunteer for Juvenile Diabetes.

He is survived by his husband Clyde Ronaldo Stevens, his beloved Godson Jensen Grubbs, and his cousins, Debbie Stalker, Richard Stalker (Tina), Renee Stalker, Amanda Stalker, Kate Stalker, and lifelong friends Terry Dyson (Ron Hoffmeister).

Fred's legacy of kindness, generosity, and positivity will always be a genuine and bright light to the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A memorial service to celebrate Fred's life will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Lohman Funeral Home in Daytona Beach, Florida. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Fred's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
