A Memorial service for Fred C. Bader Jr. 79 of Port Orange will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday October 14 2005 in the United Church of Christ 203 Washington St. New Smyrna Beach with the Rev. Sara Griffith officiating.
Mr. Bader passed away October 4 2005 at the Halifax hospital in Daytona Beach. He was born June 10 1926 in Pittsburg PA to Fred & Birdella Bader and attended the University of Pittsburg where he studied mechanical engineering. On June 19 1954 he married his wife Marilyn and in 1972 they moved to this area from Pittsburg.
Mr. Badar was a quiet inventive man who enjoyed intarsia inlaid woodworking and volunteering his services at the Gifts of Love in Edgewater. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Marilyn a son Jeff of Mims FL 4 grandchildren Andy Ft. Wayne IN Christa Edgewater Lindsey St. Petersburg Sydney Pittsburg PA and one great-grandson A.J. of Indiana. He was preceded in death by his son Brian in September of 2005.
