It is with a sad heart that we announce the passing of Franklin Pierce Peeney age 91 at the Hospice of Volusia Flagler in Port Orange. A Mass in his honor will be held Friday November 21 2008 10:00 AM. at Epiphany Catholic Church 201 Lafayette St Port Orange FL with Fr. Peter Quinn officiating. Interment and military honors will follow at Daytona Memorial Park North. Visitation will be Thursday November 20 2008 5-7:00PM at the Port Orange chapel of the Lohman Funeral Homes. 1201 Dunlawton Port Orange FL. Franklin was born in New York a US Army veteran of WWII dedicated many years as a truck driver. He was a proud member of Epiphany Catholic Church Teamsters Union Local 294 the National Order of Trench Rats of the Disabled American Veterans Association and a Port Orange resident for 29 years. Mr. Peeney was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing hunting boating bowling and spending time with his girl watching "Law and Order and John Wayne Westerns. He will be remembered for his devotion to his Country Union and most of all his wife children and grandchildren. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 54 years Elizabeth Peeney 6 children; Franklin Peeney Jr. Schenectady NY F.
