Franklin retired union sheet metal worker for the Local 303 20 Gary IN. He was a member of the VFW Post #6448 of Dyer IN. Surviving are his loving wife of 60 years Ethel two sons Gerald D. and his wife Brenda of Ormond Beach FL and Douglas A. of Cedar Lake IN a brother Melvin and his wife Katherine of Highland IN two sisters Shirley Stark of Whiting IN and Donna Makufke and her husband Harry of Panama City FL two granddaughters Shawn Klee and Carrie Klee both of Port Orange FL and a grandson Jason M.
