Frank A. Riggio 87 of Port Orange FL passed away on Thursday April 21 2011.
Frank was born in Calabria Italy on Sept. 29 1923 to the late Giacinto and Onorina Marra Riggio. At age 18 he joined Questura (comparable to our secret service). During WWII he was an active member of the Italian underground. He came to America in 1948. For 45 years Frank managed exclusive men's clothing stores in NY and DC.
Frank leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife Joan his son Franco(Palma) step-son Tim Girard FL step-son John Girard NC. grandson Peter Riggio granddaughter Gianna Riggio step-granddaughter Kristen Girard. Sisters Olimpia Tucci Canada Gloria Vero FL Claudia
Fortugno(James) NY Florence Pirrotta NY Rina Pompilio NY. Fourteen nephews and nieces and numerous great-nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by two nephews.
Memorial services to be held on Sat. May 21 2011 at Unity of Daytona Beach 908 Ridgewood Ave. Holly Hill at 11am. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Halifax Health Hospice Volusia/Flagler 3800 Woodbriar Rd Port Orange FL 32129.
