Funeral Services for Frank L. Leizear Sr. 76 of Daytona Beach FL who passed away suddenly on April 1 2007 will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday April 5 2007 at the Daytona Chapel of Lohman Funeral Homes with Pastor Jack Ottoson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in Daytona Memorial Park. Frank was born on December 4 1930 to the late Francis and Elizabeth Leizear of Silver Spring MD. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army before dedicating the rest of his life to the fire department. A retired Fire Chief from Bethesda Fire Department Frank was also a life member of the American Legion and a member of the Daytona Beach Lodge 270 F&AM and a member of Zangi Grotto. After moving to Daytona Beach in 1992 he became a member of Hope Lutheran Church. For the past 15 years Frank spent most of his time at the Clubhouse Restaurant enjoying family friends and guests. He was known to those who frequented the restaurant as "Pop's" the keeper of the popcorn machine and king of the barbeque. Of all Frank's passions his life with the fire department fishing and traveling were his favorites; however his greatest passion in life was his family. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 53 years Peggy; sons Frank Leizear Jr. and wife Victoria of Frederick MD Glen Leizear and wife Robin of Daytona Beach FL and Larry Leizear and wife Peggy of Frederick MD; eight grandchildren Sara Christopher Mikey Alan Amanda Corey Matt and Nicholas; all who will miss him deeply.
