Frank G. Hargy Jr. currently a resident of Ponce Inlet, passed away on March 12, 2016 after a long illness. He was born in Philadelphia, PA. on June 25, 1946, the son of the late Frank and Jean (Davis) Hargy. He grew up in Newtown Square, PA and graduated from Marple Newtown High School, class of 1965. After High School he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. and was honorably discharged in 1966.

Frank then went to work for Bell Atlantic, which is today known as Verizon, retiring as an engineer after 38 years of service.

He married the former Carol Ortlieb in 1981, a marriage of 34 years and settled in Broomall, PA. Frank and Carol moved to Port Orange in 2004

He is survived by his wife Carol, three daughters Lisa, Jillian, and Rachel, one brother Thomas (Carol) Hargy, three grandsons, and one granddaughter, nieces, nephews and cousins. His sister Kerry Ann Cox preceded him in death.

Services will be Wednesday, March 16, at 6:00 PM from the Lohman Funeral Home 1201 Dunlawton Ave., Port Orange, with a gathering of family and friends from 4:00 PM. till the time of the service.
