Frank W. Fortuna Sr. "The Godfather" age 89 of Daytona Beach Shores passed away on Tuesday May 17 2011. A 11:30am visitation followed by a 1:00pm funeral service in his honor will be held on Saturday May 21; at the Port Orange Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Homes.

Frank was born on January 11 1922 in Brooklyn NY to Albert and Edna Fortuna. He dedicated his life to the service of others as a US Army veteran of WWII recipient of the Purple Heart and a Detective for Nassau County Police Department Long Island NY for 37 years. He was a proud member and Past Exalted Ruler of Massapequa New York Elks Lodge #2162 Nassau County Police Benevolent Association Detective Association and Fraternal Order of Police. He was a funny fun loving gentleman who enjoyed HO trains golf but mostly spending time with his family.

He leaves behind his wife of 49 years Ethel Fortuna; 4 Children: Gladys (Gerald) Blake Virginia (Ronald) Marshalek; Frank W. Fortuna Jr. and Elizabeth Tortorelli. 6 grandchildren 6 great grandchildren a son-in-law Richard Andrianos and many extended loving family and friends.
