Francis "Frank" Eugene Durnin 79 of Ormond by the Sea FL unexpectedly passed away June 17 2012. Frank was born in Chelsea MA and grew up in Bridgeport CT. He served his country in the Marines in Korea. After military service Frank worked for 25 years as a sales manager in oil sales for Santa Fuels in Bridgeport.

Frank met and married his lifelong love Gloria. They were together for 56 years. They raised 3 sons: Scott Brian and Kevin.

Frank loved fishing particularly on his pontoon boat in Vermont. He was also a Giants fan. Frank was a member of the Masonic Lodge in CT and acted as their Director of Property Management.

Frank will be remembered as always helping someone whether family or friends. He was active in his community and condo association. His friends affectionately referred to him as "The Mayor".

Frank was predeceased by his parents Michael and Edith Durnin and by his brother William Durnin. He will be sadly missed by his wife Gloria; sons: Scott Durnin (Judith) of PA Brian Durnin (Meribeth) of CT and Kevin Durnin (Gerilyn) of CT.; and by his 6 grandchildren: Benjamin Jason Mitchell Rachel Christine and Wendy. Frank is survived by his sister Mary Turrini of CT and many nieces and nephews. He will be mourned by many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday June 21 2012 at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. The family will have another service at a later date in CT. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.lohmanfuneralhomes.com.
