Francis E. Kilian 90 of Daytona Beach Shores FL passed away Tuesday November 29 2011 at Halifax Health Hospice in Port Orange. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday December 2 2011 at 1:00pm at Catholic Church of the Epiphany Port Orange FL. He was born July 13 1921 in Stamford Connecticut to George Kilian and the former Mary Moore. He graduated from Stamford High School in 1939 and attended Bridgeport Engineering Institute. He was proud of his service in the US Navy during World War II in the South Pacific on the Mine Sweeper YMS99. He received the Good Conduct Medal Victory Medal American Theater Medal and Asiatic - Pacific Medal for his service. He married Jane M Corrigan on October 4 1952. They resided in Stamford CT for many years before retiring to Daytona Beach Shores. He was the Forman at Machlett Laboratories Inc in Stamford for many years and retired from Ring's End Inc in Darien CT. Francis was also former member of the Springdale Fire Department in Stamford. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers George and James Kilian. He is survived by Jane his loving wife of 59 years; his son Stephen F Kilian (Deirdre) of Stamford CT; his daughter Nancy Kilian Driscoll (James) of Bethel CT; his five grandchildren Brian M Dorsey of Fairfield CT Jessica N Dorsey of Somerville MA; Erin A Dorsey of Stamford CT; Ciara M and Owen M Kilian also of Stamford; his sisters Ann Mitchell and Louise Quinn of Stamford CT; and many nieces and nephews.
