Frances Lynn Raider 61 of Port Orange went to the hands of the Lord surrounded by loved ones on Sunday October 18 2009. There will be a gathering of friends on Tuesday (today) at the Lohman Funeral Home Port orange 1201 Dunlawton Ave. in Port Orange from 5 pm until 8 pm. with a celebration of life ceremony at 6 pm with Chaplin Mark Spivey officiating. Fran was born on November 5 1947 in Lindenhurst N.Y. and came to this area 7 years ago from Spartanburg S.C.. Fran was a retired phlebotomist and a homemaker. She was an Avid NASCAR fan and a proud contributor to the Kyle Petty "Victory Junction Camp". Fran loved traveling with her husband; they took many cruises and trips all over the world. She loved animals. Fran and Bobby hosted over a dozen foreign exchange students and she was a member of the Red Hat Society. She is preceded in death by her husband of 32 years Robert "Bobby" Raider her parents Frank and Millie McDuffee and her sister Gail. Survivors include her sister Carol Raith of Maryland her brother-in-law David (Julie) Raider of Atlanta GA. and several nieces and nephews; and her dear friends Brian Barbara and David Wolert also John Denise Jac and Cherish Lymn. Along with Fran's goddaughter Katherine Mary Wolert . and her very special caregivers who made her part of their family.
