Frances Patton Monson 92 of Port Orange passed away peacefully on November 25 2011. Frances was born on August 26 1919 in Needham MA to Frank and Charlotte Patton. She graduated from Bryant College in Providence RI. Frances worked as an executive secretary for the Whiting and Davis Co. in Plainville MA; as secretary to the Vice President of Milton Bradley's Research Engineering; and for the East Longmeadow High School Guidance Dept. Frances was well known as a charitable caretaker for older ladies. She was Past President of several local Ladies Clubs. Frances is predeceased by Paul her loving husband of 64 years formally of Foxboro MA; and by her daughter Virginia Gurney of East Longmeadow MA. Frances is survived by her son Gary Monson (wife Susan) of Orange Park FL; and by her four grandchildren Jennifer and Janel Gurney of East Longmeadow MA Jill Monson of Springfield MA and Scott Monson of Feeding Hills MA. She is also survived by her sister Jane Briggs of Foxboro MA. A private memorial service will be held Saturday December 3 2011 in Orange Park.
