A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Mrs. Frances Dzioba who died Thursday March 22 2007 will be held on Saturday March 31 2007 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Daytona Chapel of Lohman Funeral Homes 1423 Bellevue Avenue Daytona Beach. Friends and family are invited to share their memories of and experiences with Frances. Cards will be available in the lobby. The family requests all to gather after the service at her daughter's home. Mrs. Dzioba (Frances) was born on October 1 1918 in Cleveland Ohio to Antoinette and Antoine Brusich. She married the love of her life Peter Dzioba on August 26 1944 and had two daughters. The family moved to Flagler Beach in 1954 to Ormond Beach in 1956 and finally to Pelican Bay in 2003. Frances had a full and varied career. She graduated from John Hay Business School and worked for the Army and Navy during WWII as a secretary; for Walsh Construction as Office Manager; at Corbin Avenue Elementary School as secretary to the principal; and for Volusia County School System until she retired. She and her husband were active members of the Elks Eagles and Moose Lodges in Daytona and Ormond Beach. They were also longtime square dance and ballroom dancers. Their passion was polka dancing and waltzing and they were involved in the SNPJ Lodge in Samsula and the Polish Club in Daytona Beach. Frances participated in the Girl Scouts as the leader of the Ormond Beach Girl Scout Troop and the Mariners for 11 years. Frances is survived by her husband of 63 years Peter; her daughters Sally Goodman of Daytona Beach and Nancy (Louis A.) Frashuer of Jacksonville; granddaughter Anya Frashuer of Tampa; nieces Barbara Schleicher of Ormond Beach and Vernice Cato of Cumming Georgia. She was a most devoted wife a loving mother and a great friend. She will always be in our minds and forever in our hearts.
