Fortner L. Bradfield born in Buffalo NY graduated from East High School. He served in the US Navy in WWII from January ?42 until September?45. He was a member of the Iron Workers Local #6 in Buffalo for 37 years a member of Sweeney Hose Co. in North Tonawanda in 1953 joined the North Tonawanda Benevolent Association as a lifetime member was a 35-year member of the American Legion in North Tonawanda Heights then Elmira NY and Post 267 Ormond Beach. Moved to Ormond Beach in 1997 from Elmira NY.

A memorial service will be held on Monday April 12 2004 at the American Legion Post 267 at 157 New Britain Avenue Ormond Beach at 11:00 a.m.

Survivors he leaves behind are his wife Cleo of Ormond Beach; sister Thelma Pearce of Pearl City Hawaii; daughters Beth Bruce Neubauer of Amherst NY and Karen Bradfield of Tonawanda NY; stepdaughter Cathy Webb of Charlotte NC and stepson Brad Buell of Elmira NY; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
