A Celebration of Life for Florence I. Elder 97 of Ormond Beach who died Sunday March 23 2008 at Florida Hospital Oceanside will be Thursday March 27 at 7:00 pm at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Beach with Pastor David Wooton officiating. Her family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 until 7:00 PM.

Florence was born May 10 1910 in New York New York to the late William Innes and Margaret Okeeffe Innes. She retired from Jersey Bell in 1972. Florence liked to sew knit and crochet making her daughter Rhoda and granddaughter Jodi's wedding dresses. She was a Hospital Auxiliary volunteer and in her nineties she knitted pre-natal caps.

She is survived by a Son John Swenson of Etwa NC; daughter's Rhoda S. Quinn of Livingston NJ;and Janice Mathisen of Ormond Beach FL; Grandchildren Jodi Quinn Deb Crum Jeffery Quinn Sharon Quinn Robert Swenson Shane Swenson Greg Swenson Richard Quinn Peter Mathisen David Mathisen Paul Mathisen Timothy Mathisen and 19 great grandchildren. Florence was predeceased by John T. Swenson and Bertrum Elder.
