Obituary

Florence Libertini Bubb, 90, of Plantation, FL and Daytona Beach, FL, passed away on July 23, 2021. She was born in Baltimore, MD daughter of the late Italian immigrants Thomas and Mary Libertini and moved to Daytona Beach in 1958.

She stayed home to raise her children and was a volunteer Girl Scout leader and home room mother at St Paul's Catholic School.  She served the Bishop and other church dignitaries her famous pot roast and lasagne whenever asked.  She was a skilled wedding cake baker and baked cakes for the Halifax Midget Football League teams coached by her late husband, Russell Bubb.  She started working as a clerk at the Halifax Hospital Emergency Room in 1974 to support her 6 children when her husband passed away. When asked to describe her, her family said she was a loving, selfless, sassy, pasta lover and chocoholic who loved her family and animals and always had a sympathetic ear. She didn't complain, even after a stroke left her blind and disabled. Her infections laugh and sense of humor in spite of all of her struggles will be remembered most. She had been active with Our Lady of Hope Sociable Seniors. At gatherings, Flo made sure family and friends left feeling loved and full of good food.

She is predeceased by her loving husband Russell Bubb, her dear brother and sister James Libertini and Josephine Carrin.  She leaves behind children Russell Bubb (wife Phyllis), Genie McGrane (husband Mark), Paul Bubb (wife Juliette), Terry Taylor (husband Steve), John Bubb and Linda Negedly Bubb (husband Billy), 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many loved nieces and nephews.
