Florence Winifred Drew Borgnis 89 retired teacher passed away November 6th 2009. She was born June 23rd 1920 in Conowingo Maryland to Charles W. Drew and Florence Dotson Drew.
She graduated from Shepherd College and earned a Masters Degree from the University of Delaware. She taught math and social studies in Colonial School District for 15 years.
She traveled extensively throughout the world with her husband Alfred and moved to Florida in 2000. She attended Asbury Methodist Church in New Castle Delaware and First United Methodist Church in Port Orange Florida.
She was a member of Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority and Delta Kappa Gamma Society International Epsilon Chapter.
She is survived by brothers Alfred Charles and John son Alfred Drew Borgnis and wife Lida daughter Diana Litteral granddaughter Jodi Jackola and great-granddaughters Alexis and Amber.
A memorial service will be held at First Church Port Orange 305 Dunlawton Avenue Port Orange on November 19th at 2 pm. The date for the New Castle Delaware memorial service will be forthcoming.
