Flakadene Tidmore , 85, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away peacefully on September 13, 2020 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. A visitation and memorial service will be held on September 18, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lohman Funeral Home in Palm Coast, Florida with Wiley Lowe officiating.

Flakadene was born on October 27, 1934 in Clairemont, Texas to Earnest Flake and Bertha (White) Moore. She was a graduate of the Paducah High School Class of 1953. Flakadene's high school sweetheart, Jack Tidmore, proposed prior to his joining the United States Air Force, and the couple were married in 1951. Jack and Flakadene lived various places until 1968 when they moved their young family back to Paducah where they remained until their retirement. During that time, Flakadene worked for the Paducah Independent School District as a teacher's aide, music teacher, and UIL coach. In 1995, they moved to Houston to be near family. In 2002 they relocated to Virginia and then to Florida in 2005.

Flakadene was a devout Christian and member of the Church of Christ. She loved music and sang publicly throughout most of her life, including the full musical productions she put on each year with her students. She also had quite the green thumb and a gift for arranging flowers. She volunteered countless hours helping many brides prepare for their weddings. Anyone who entered Flakadene's home instantly knew she had a love for antiques and enjoyed displaying them. Her greatest passion, however, was her family.

She was a devoted mother to her three children, Jackie Tidmore, Jr. and wife Verna of Texas; Judi Jordan of Texas; Jana Davis and husband Chip of Florida.

She was lovingly known as Nandene to her grandchildren and played an instrumental role in their lives. Grandchildren include Ashley Jordan, Sara Ridenour and husband Doug, Jacob Beeman and wife Kristen, Justin Davis and wife Aubrey, Jay Tidmore, Ryan Davis, Jordan Davis and wife Stephanie, Joshua Angenend, Michaela Deavers and husband Andrew, Shana Leite and husband Freddy. Great-grandchildren include Olivia Riddle, Christian Henderson, Kora Arroyo, Joseph Davis, Charlotte Davis, Jack Davis, Paul Davis, Ella Davis, Evan Deavers, Caroline Beeman, Evelyn Beeman, and Adam Deavers. Flakadene's first great great grandchild, Sawyer Riddle, was born in March.

Flakadene was preceded in death by her husband Jack Tidmore; parents Ernest Moore, Bertha and Albert Flowers; brothers Durwood Burton, Cletus Burton, and James Wesley Burton.
