Funeral services for Ferris Joseph Beaumont 97 of Daytona Beach who passed away peacefully Wednesday July 18 2007 at the Hospice Care Center will be 1:00pm Monday July 23 2007 at Baggett & Summers Funeral Home with Brother Raymond Sieg officiating. Burial will follow services at Daytona Memorial Park.
Mr. Beaumont was born in Mason Michigan in 1910 and moved to the Daytona area in 1918. He graduated from Seabreeze High School in 1929.
Mr. Beaumont was one of the founding members of the Beville Rd. Church of Christ and an elder there for 40 years. He was the manager of one of the first Piggly Wigglies in Daytona and then went on to work for the Daytona Main Post Office attaining the position of Chief Civil Service examiner for Volusia/ Flagler Counties. He retired after 30 years.
Survivors include his wife of 71 years Agnes; a daughter Janice Tweedie Maitland FL; 3 grandchildren; Alaine Oklawaha FL Brian Winter Park FL and Karen Okinawa Japan; and 4 great grandchildren.
