Daytona Beach -Ference Kormendi passed away Monday September 3rd at Forest Lake Manor. Mr. Kormendi was born in Mezoors Hungary He was preceded by his wife Anna Mikula Kormendi. After three years in England they moved to Passaic New Jersey in 1951. Mr. Kormendi retired from Tiffany & Co. in 1981. The couple moved to Daytona Beach in 1983.
Ference was survived by his brother in law Gyorgy Mikula who resides in Hungary and will be sorely missed by his dearest and closest friends Mr. & Mrs. Steve Pataki as well as his many friends from the Hungarian/ American Club of Daytona Beach where he was a member for 24 years.
A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church at 620 S. Grandview Ave. Daytona Beach with the Rev. Emese Asztalos presiding. Services will be announced at a later date and will be spoken in Hungarian as well as English.
