Felton F. Peacock 82 of Ormond Beach FL passed away on September 30 2010. The family will receive friends at Lohman Funeral Home-Ormond; 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach FL on Saturday October 2 2010 between 3-6 pm. Graveside services will be held on Monday September 4th at 11:00 am at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Waycross GA. Felton was born December 18 1927 in Blackshear Georgia to John and Sarah (Bennett) Peacock. Felton spent his first career working as a farmer on the family farm in Georgia. He and his wife then relocated to Volusia County in 1963 from Washington Georgia. He was a retired assistant plant services manager at Halifax Hospital Daytona Beach a member of the Westside Baptist Church a member of the VFW Post 1590 Daytona Beach and the American Legion. He served his country in the Merchant Marines in 1948-49 then with the US Army from 1950-52. He was a true Jack-of-All Trades; he also enjoyed spending time on the computer. Felton is survived by his wife of 53 years Jacqueline "Jackie" Peacock Ormond Beach his daughter Catherine "Cathy" Erfurt and her husband Henry Vero Beach FL a son James "Ted" Courson and his wife Roxie Port Orange FL six grandchildren Tim Wendy Jeremy Chris Ashley and Keith and by six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Gregory Courson and two brothers Will Rogers Peacock and Shelton Peacock. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
