Father James Bozeman passed away on Tuesday April
13 2004 after a long illness at his home in John Knox
Village Orange City. He was a retired Major in the
U.S. Air Force serving as a P-38 fighter pilot in
World War II. After his retirement from the Air
Force he served as assistant librarian for Volusia
County. He continued his education at the Episcopal
Theology Seminary in Lexington Kentucky where he was
ordained an Episcopal Priest in 1983. After his
ordination he served as a rector in Tallahassee
and assistant rector at St. Mary?s Church in Daytona Beach
and St. James Episcopal Church in Ormond Beach.
He is preceded in death by his first wife Bernice in
1992. Survivors include his wife Amy Single of Orange
City brother David Bozeman of Deltona sister Celeste
Matthews and brother Calvin Bozeman both of Ohio and
several nieces and nephews.
