Fannie Rivers, 93, of Daytona Beach passed away on January 2, 2014.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 between the hours of 11:00 A. M. and 1:00 P.M., at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona. Funeral Services will begin in the chapel at 1:00 P.M. with the interment to follow at Daytona Memorial Park.
Fannie was born on December 6, 1920 in Sandersville, Georgia to the late Beaulah and Lott Wiley. Fannie married Jack Rivers in 1946. They started a family while traveling throughout the United States and Germany. Fannie enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with her family. Fannie was a devoted member of New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church for over 65 years where she served on the Deaconess Board, Usher Board and Missionary Board.
Survivors include her devoted and loving husband of 67 years Jack Rivers, US Army Sergeant (Retired); children, Rommel (Cynthia) Rivers, Pernel Rivers, Jacqueline Rivers, Sharon (Charles) Levy; grandchildren, Evyn Rivers, Brittany Johnson, La-Shaie Rivers, Taylor Rivers, Bryanna Johnson, Jack Rivers; a host of nieces, nephews and many extended family members; and close childhood friend Ollie Collins.
Memorial donations can be made in her memory to Vitas Innovative Hospice at, 2381 Mason Ave #100, Daytona Beach, FL 32117.
