E.W. Rick Cougle 88 retired Captain with American Airlines passed away on Sunday September 22 2013. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday September 28 2013 at 1:00 P.M at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona 1423 Bellevue Ave Daytona Beach FL. He was born July 12 1925 in Philadelphia PA. and attended local schools; the Academy of Aeronautics New York NY. and the University of Oklahoma. Rick served with the Marine's in the Pacific during WWII and later joined the Air Force. He was employed for 33 years with American Airlines. Rick is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Joy; sons Wayne and Blake Cougle and daughters Lee (Dick) White and Lyn (Steve) Peattie. Of his 6 siblings he is survived only by sisters Marlene (Frank) Carson and Ilene (Walt) Coyle. Grandchildren include Matthew Lafferty Darci Salisbury Jared White Geoffrey Peattie Amanda Brunken Jon Peattie Aaron Cougle and Brittany Peattie. Also eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a much beloved husband father grandfather and uncle all of whom he was so proud.
