Funeral service for Evelyn F. Thomas age 87 of Easy Street Daytona Beach FL will be held at The Basilica of St Paul 317 Mulally Street Daytona Beach FL on Friday May 12 2006 at 9:00 AM. Father Robert Webster Celebrating. Her family will receive friends on Thursday May 11 2006 between 5:00& 7:00 PM at the Lohman Funeral Home Daytona 1423 Bellevue Daytona Beach FL. Burial will follow the service on Friday at the Daytona Memorial Park 1423 Bellevue Ave. Daytona Beach FL.
Mrs. Thomas passed away at her home on Tuesday May 9 2006. Born on Christmas Eve 1918 in Utica NY she graduated from high school married Samuel Thomas on October 2 1937 and spent 58 years with him until his passing exactly 10 years to the day of her passing. During their time together they traveled the US and the world enjoying seeing it together. Evelyn was a member of The Basilica of St Paul the Women of the Moose #1019 ?College of Regents? and the Knights of Columbus Women?s Auxiliary all of Daytona Beach FL. Evelyn or ?GRAMSEY? as she was called helped raise many family members for 43 years. She enjoyed going to Las Vegas NV for many years playing bingo and cards. But most of all she loved her family and being with them.
She is survived by her sons David Kathy Thomas of Ormond Beach FL and Ron Thomas of NY NY and her daughter Regina John Hawk of Daytona Beach FL. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Kimberly Thomas of Ormond Beach FL; Kristie Kevin O?Keefe of Jacksonville FL. David Jodi Thomas of Pelham AL; Angela Phifer of Ormond Beach FL. John Maryann Hawk of Jacksonville FL.; Jeff Hawk of Ormond Beach FL; Melissa Hawk of S. Daytona Beach FL; Denise Hawk of Daytona Beach FL; James Hawk of Holly Hill FL and Marjorie Mark Lustig of Sudbury Massachusetts. There are also 12 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild.
