Evelyn "Evie" Virginia Brown Esterbrook Smith 84 passed away February 21 2010. She was born on April 25 1925 in Newport News VA to John Samuel Brown and Annie Louise McGee. Evelyn married Herbert "Bud" Raymond Esterbrook in Bay City Texas on June 28 1942 during WWII. She met Bud at a USO dance in Norfolk VA. and said "That's the man I am going to marry". A long-time friend of theirs Jack Daniel Smith offered to teach Evie how to golf so she could meet some men. He soon realized he should be dating her instead. They married in 1981 and moved to Port Orange FL. They had a wonderful life together traveling around the country in their RV. Some of their favorite places were Yellowstone Glacier Red Lodge Mt. and Albuquerque New Mexico for the hot air balloon races. Jack died in 2005. Evie loved her children and in addition to tennis and camping she enjoyed cards and water aerobics. She truly lived a full happy life.
