Mrs. Evelyn Eady Pettway began her life's journey on December 19, 1930 in Willacoochee, GA to Mr. Clarence and Ms. Margaret Eady. Mrs. Evelyn moved to Daytona Beach, FL during the years of her youth. She was educated in the Volusia County Public Schools and attended Campbell Street High School. She was a woman of many skills and was employed as a Caregiver and a Domestic Worker. She was the devoted and caring wife of Mr. Nelse Pettway. Moreover, she was an active member of Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church until her health declined. Most of all, she was one of the most generous, caring, wise matrons that anyone could have the pleasure of knowing. There was never a question of her helping anyone in need, especially, children. On various occasions she would have everyone together for good food, laughs and of course a thousand memories to reminisce on, and so many knew her as "Aunt Evelyn". Mrs. Evelyn also enjoyed gardening, reading, attending church services and caring for her loved ones. Evelyn answered her father's heavenly call on Thursday, February 4, 2016. She was predeceased by her Parents, Clarence and Margaret Eady, Husband, Nelse Pettway; the younger of her two sons, Gregory M. Freeney; and Brother, Clarence Eady. The loved ones left to cherish her legacy of love are her Eldest Son, Namon D. Freeney Jr.; Granddaughter, Patricia G. Freeney; Grandson, Navidahl R.
