Evelyn Mae Lloyd 89 passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 30 2009. She was born on August 15 1920 in Cleveland OH and relocated to Punta Gorda FL in 1961. She lovingly raised four children on her own while her husband Thomas to whom she was married 45 years worked in Ohio to support the family. In 1991 she moved to Port Orange with her daughter and her family. Evelyn enjoyed knitting crocheting sewing and watching baseball and football. She was a fan of the Chicago Cubs as well as the Miami Dolphins however was one of the Atlanta Braves biggest fans. Evelyn helped raise six of her grandchildren and truly enjoyed spending time with her family. Her family will remember her most for being steadfast and loyal and for her loving caring nature. She will be truly missed. Evelyn is survived by her sons Thomas F. Lloyd Jr. and William R. (Melissa) Lloyd; daughters Janice (Kevin) Waye and Susan (Henry) Pate; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas.
