In Loving Memory of Evelyn I. Lampshire. Born August 2, 1938, Evelyn passed away peacefully at 86, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. A proud Finnish-American and graduate of Romulus High School, she married Don Lampshire, her devoted husband of 56 years. Together, they had three daughters—Barbara, Betty, and Irene—cherished their grandchildren Donald, Douglas, Diana, Tonya, Cody, Wyatt, and Pebbles, as well as their great-grandchild Michael.
She was a vibrant soul with a gift for making everyone laugh, thanks to her wonderfully quirky and mischievous sense of humor. A master seamstress and cake decorator, she poured her creativity into everything she touched. Her love of music, especially polka, filled her home with joy, and she and Don spent years traveling the world, dazzling crowds with their grace in square dancing and ballroom competitions.
Beyond her talents her greatest triumph was the heart of her family, a woman of strength and compassion whose devotion to her Lutheran faith guided her life. She brought light, fun, and an unshakable spirit to everyone she met. Though she is gone, her laughter, love, and legacy will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing her.
