EVELYN A. FREMONT
Evelyn A. Fremont, 82, died Friday, January 2, 2015 at her home at Good Samaritan. Born March 1, 1932, in Hallendale, FLA, to Melvin and Evelyn Amundson, she graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Music Education. Evelyn was a resident of Port Orange for the last 42 years. She shared a lifetime of music as lyric soprano vocalist, choir director, teacher, and mentor, and with All Saints Lutheran, Bel Canto Singers of Daytona, Good Samaritan, Miami Dade Civic Light Opera, and more. She served on the Board of The Florida Lutheran Church Women, and was an employee of Southern Paint in Daytona, before her retirement.
Evelyn will be at rest along side her beloved husband of 54 years, Robert W. "Bob" Fremont, Sr., and her parents, Melvin and Evelyn Amundson. She is also predeceased by her sister, Janet Ronan, Hollywood, Florida. She is survived by her children, Robert W. "Dale" Fremont, Jr. and Lynne Fremont, Fort Lauderdale, Paul and Donna Fremont, Port Orange, Laura Fremont and Stuart Spikerman, Los Angeles, CA., and Elana and Lawrence Moore, Concord, N.C., granddaughters, Jacqueline, Rachel, and Elizabeth Moore of Concord, NC, and Aymee and Kari Fremont, Port Orange; her siblings, Ethel Srolovitz, Port Orange; Helen & Herb Steele, Dorchester, SC; Rev. Mel & Nancy Amundson, Columbia, SC; Karen & Tom McEntee, Florissant, MO; Les & Delsa Amundson, Davie, FL.; along with many nieces; nephews and so many dear, lifelong friends.

Service will be conducted by Pastor Mel Amundson (brother), on Monday, January 5, at 1:00pm, Lohman Funeral Home Chapel, Daytona, with a visitation at 11:00am. Internment follows at 1:45pm at Daytona Memorial Park.
