Eva L. Gilligan 89 of 121 Gull Circle North born in Boston MA died Thursday at the Health Center of Daytona Beach. She was married to John Gilligan on 25 October 1937 in Lakeville MA who predeceased her in 1997. They had moved to Daytona Beach in 1990. Mrs. Gilligan received both her B.A. and Masters of Education degrees from Providence College. She retired as the Deputy Director of the Rhode Island Alliance of Business in 1981. And she was the recipient of several recognition awards for her accomplishments from both the Governor of Rhode Island and the National Association of Business. She also served as secretary for the Pelican Bay Woman''''s Club. Survivors include a son Jack and his wife Diana of Groveland IL; a sister Kate and her husband Ted of Phoenix AZ; several nieces and nephews and grand children and great grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church at PO Box 290216 Port Orange FL 32129. Funeral Mass will be held at 8:30 am on Monday February 6th in Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Baggett and Summers Funeral Home from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm Sunday.
