Dr. Eugenie Farag

Dr. Eugenie Farag passed away in peace on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the age of 99. She was wife to the late Dr. Shoukry Elsakr and his lifelong companion for 66 years. Mother of – Fouad Elsakr, Senior Pharmacist, Las Vegas, NV husband of Vivian Saleh, Senior Pharmacist; Magdy Elsakr, MD, Gastroenterologist, Modesto, CA husband of Sally Elsakr, Computer Engineer; Ashraf Elsakr, MD, Cardiologist, Port Orange, FL husband of Mona Elsakr, MD, Pathologist; and Amal Ibrahim, MD, Pediatrician, Riverside, CA wife of Waseem Ibrahim, MD, Neurologist. She was the proud Grandmother of Amir, Heidi, Daniel, Mina, Joseph, Sarah, Maryanne and John.
Dr. Eugenie Farag will be remembered by family and friends as one of the pioneer female physicians in the era of modern medicine in Egypt. She dedicated her work to helping women and children in need in Upper Egypt and in Alexandria, Egypt.
She set an outstanding example of how to be a compassionate wife, supportive mother, loving grandmother, and great human being that loved everyone and was a blessing to us all.
Teta Eugenie will be greatly missed.
Funeral Prayers will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 1:00 pm at St. George Coptic Orthodox Church, 300 N. Halifax Avenue, Daytona Beach, FL 32118.  A Graveside Service will follow in Daytona Memorial Park, 1425 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, FL 32114.
The Family will be receiving condolences and celebrating her life from 3:00 – 8:00 pm, the same day, in the church's fellowship hall.
