Eugene Scott, 82 of Deland, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 11:00am at Lohman Funeral Home Deland. The family will receive friends between 10:00am an 11:00am. A burial will follow at Deland Memorial Gardens. Eugene was born on January 22, 1936 to Hugh and Lillie Belle Scott. He was a Marine Corp Veteran who served in the Korean War. Eugene retired after 32 years of service with the Dade County Corrections Department. He was also a member of The American Legion Post 6 of Deland. Eugene enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanne and his son Ronald Scott and is survived by his children, Tim (Melissa) Scott, Darlene Scott, Laurie (Mark) Bocharski, DeAnn Abell, William Cage, Peggy Cage, Richard Cage; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grand children.
