Eugene Francis Bowles (Jake), 85, of South Daytona, Florida passed away Saturday, November 1,2014 surrounded by his loving family. There will be a Celebration of life Service 6pm, with one hour gathering prior on Friday, November 7, 2014, at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona.

Jake retired from Florida Power and Light Company after 38 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S Air Force. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and spent most of his life enjoying the outdoors. He will be missed by all of us whose lives he touched.

Born in Daytona Beach, Florida on September 1, 1929 to Donald and Julia Bowles. Jake is predeceased by his parents; his wife of 62 years, Dorothy; his brother, Donald Bowles; and his sisters, Marilyn (Happy) Bellone and Marguerite Brundage. He is survived by his daughters, Karen (Ross) Allen, Regina (Kent) Blankenship and Catherine (Emory) Smith; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Mackenzie, Alissa, Travis and Lindsey; three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Astrid and Maddox; and many wonderful friends.
