Ethel Jeanette O'Neal, 90, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away on June 16, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on January 10, 1931 in Lawtey, Florida to the late George Washington and Viginia Cecile (Prescott) Lastinger.  Ethel moved to this area in 1937 and attended North Ridgewood Elementary and Mainland High School.  She enjoyed farming by her husbands side, gardening and cooking.  Her life's passion was taking care of her family and her children and being the best mother she could be.

She is survived by her five children, Linda (Charles) Dubois of Port Orange, Florida, Vivian (David) Lauremore of Port Orange, Florida, Allen O'Neal of Bunnell, Florida, Janet Smith of Port Orange, Florida and Ricky (Nancy) O'Neal of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; eight grandchildren;  eighteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, George O'Neal, in 2004 and her granddaughter, Christy Rahme in 2002.

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, Florida 32129.
