Ethel Levoy, August 13, 1922 – March 26, 2022

Ethel (Isaacson) Levoy of Holly Hill, FL was born on August 13, 1922, in Brooklyn, NY to Philip and Rachel "Rae" Isaacson, and was the eldest of three children.  She met her husband, WWII naval veteran Jack Levoy, on the beach and they married on June 21, 1947.  Jack & Ethel lived in Merrick, Long Island, NY, and they raised three children together.  After Jack's death in 1964, Ethel worked to support her children as a bookkeeper.  After her retirement, she moved to Palm Coast, FL so she could continue to be close to her children and grandchildren, and eventually, great-grandchildren.  She loved volunteering at her local library, socializing with friends, bird watching, dancing to music that had "a good beat", and spending time with her family and pet cat.  She also enjoyed watching sports, especially tennis and golf, and was a champion mini-golf player at her retirement home at Riviera Senior Living, where she lived for 14 years independently until her death.  She died peacefully at Halifax Hospice on March 26, 2022.  She was proud to be a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and loved all animals and nature.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, Philip Isaacson and Rachel (Golder) Isaacson; brothers, Melvin Isaacson and Leonard Isaacson; husband, Jack Levoy; daughter, Lynne (Levoy) Diamond; and grandson, Jason Diamond. She is survived by her sons, Robert Levoy and Gary Levoy; grandchildren, Shawn Levoy, Christine (Levoy) Grindle, Stephanie (Levoy) Wyland, Craig Levoy, Jennifer (Levoy) Miller, Brandon Levoy, and Heather Levoy; and great-grandchildren, Lawton Levoy, Addie Grindle, Ella Grindle, Sloan Levoy, Jack Wyland, Keighton Levoy, and Liam Miller.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests the consideration of a donation to a local animal shelter.
