Esther M. Finkell age 86 of Port Orange went to be with our Lord on Tuesday October 29 2008. A service in her honor will be held Saturday November 1 2008 1:00 pm at the Port Orange chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home 1201 Dunlawton Ave. Port Orange with Pastor Bernie Davis officiating. Visitation will be Friday Oct. 31 2008 5:00 - 7:00 PM. Esther was born in South Carolina came to Florida at age four and graduated from Mainland High School. She was a dedicated member of the Masonic Eastern Star Lodge 270 Daytona Beach The Order of the Amaranth and the S. Daytona Garden Club. She dedicated her life as a homemaker wife mother and grandmother. Esther will best be remembered for her hospitality and creating a warm loving home. She was the center of her family's gatherings a beautiful women with a special talent for cooking organizing and gardening. Her beloved husband of 57 years Donald R. Finkell Sr. preceded her in death. She leaves behind to cherish her memories 5 children Donald R. (Nancy) Finkell Jr. Sylvia Finkell Donna Bell Brian (Donna) Finkell and Paul C. Finkell 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Daytona.
