Esolda G. ""Sally"" Mercer 97 passed away July 26 2012. Esolda's family will accept guests on Monday July 30 2012 from 4:00 P.M to 7:00 P.M at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange 1201 Dunlawton Ave Port Orange FL 32127. A funeral mass in her honor will be held on Tuesday July 31 2012 at Church of the Epiphany 201 Lafayette Street Port Orange FL 32127 at 11:00 A.M. with a visitation starting at 9:30am. Esolda was born in Sunnyside Utah and was a former resident of Elmwood Park Illinois Sopris Colorado and Chicago IL. Sally graduated from Austin High School in Chicago IL and attended Triton College in River Grove IL and Rosary College in River Forest IL. She spent most of her time assisting in social and welfare work. Sally was the past president and member for 40 years of the Infant Welfare Society and Charter Member of the Women of the Moose Ormond Beach. She was the beloved wife of the late Ivan Mercer. Sally is predeceased by her sisters; Victoria LaGrippe and Louise Walker brothers; Jess Filippi Nello Filippi and Henry Filippi. Loving step-mother of Ivan (Sally) Mercer Jr of Washington State. loving aunt of Mary (Chester) Filipowicz Margaret (Griffin) Sepsey Joseph (Ruth) LaGrippe James (Anne) LaGrippe and Paul LaGrippe. Sally also leaves behind 3 step-grandchildren and many great nieces and nephews.
