Ermal N. Byam 85 of Ormond Beach passed away peacefully on April 12 2010. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday April 17 2010 at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond 733 W. Granada Blvd beginning at 10:00am.The family will begin receiving guest at 9:30am. Ermal was born January 6 1925 in Van Wert Iowa to Clair & Hettie Palmer. She enjoyed poetry photography reading PEO casemates church and family. She dedicated her life to education and worked for many years in the public school system as a kindergarten teacher. She was also a past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a devoted wife mother and friend to all. Ermal is survived by her loving husband Vern Byam of 63 years Sister Ruth Reynolds and Brother-in-law Robert Reynolds of Glendive MT Brother Lawrence Palmer and wife Rosalie of Van Wert IA and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son Steve Byam parents Clair and Hettie Palmer and Sister Atha Thompson and her husband Dean Thompson.
