Stewart Erik Brodtkorb- Erik Brodtkorb Stewart 63 of Brian Avenue owner/proprietor of Stewart & Associates CPAs for over 30 years died Wednesday at home after his long fight with cancer.

Mr. Stewart traveled often with his family before attending and graduating from Charlotte Hall Military Academy in Maryland. In the Air Force he was a member of 1st Air Commando Group Group Intelligence; 1st Air Commando Wing? Wing Intelligence and 5th Recon Squad. He moved to Florida in 1963. He received his BSBA from Florida Technological University now University of Central Florida in 1976 and his CPA certificate in 1979. He was actively involved in his community over the years as a soccer coach for the South Daytona Soccer League a South Daytona City Council member Past President Secretary and Treasurer of the Holly Hill Rotary Club Past member of Kiwanis Elks and Lion?s clubs and Past President of the Dayton Beach Yacht Club. He was a member of Epiphany Catholic Church and a past Eucharistic minister.

He is predeceased by his mother Brit Sorenson Stewart Norway and his father Philander Knox Stewart Pennsylvania. Survivors include his wife of 38 years Judy; tow daughters Nicki Lynn Burrell Jimmy Burrell Clearlake CA and Brenna Young Donald Young South Daytona; two sons Erik Stewart Jr. Edgewater and Patrick Stewart South Daytona; five grandchildren Jessica Shepard Dave Shepard Hidden Valley Lake CA Stephen Stewart New Smyrna Beach Joseph Stewart Edgewater Kristina Young South Daytona Heather Young South Daytona and two step-grandchildren Michael and Nickolas Ochoa and Austin Shepard all of CA a sister Hallie Marquess Hidden Valley Lake CA a nephew Ronald Stewart Santa Maria CA and a cousin William Stewart Clearwater FL. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hospice of Volusia and Flagler Counties. Service will be at Epiphany Catholic Church Monday March 14 2005 at 11:30 am.
