It is with great sadness that the family of Erica Cates Hopper , of Ormond Beach, announce her passing on September 22nd, 2021, at the age of 33 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Matthew Hopper; her children Jessica, Jaclyn, and Joshua; step son, Joseph Hopper; her father, Franklin Cates and mother, Betty Cates; her brother, Edward Cates (Frances Cates), and twin sister, Emily Cates; as well as her nephew and nieces Reese Cates, Lily Cates, and Savannah Neely; and grandmother, Eloise Cates. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Robert and Betty Kull, and Norman Cates. She will also be remembered by her uncles, Douglas Cates and Christopher Cates; her aunt, Anne Cates Legier, and numerous other family members and friends.

Erica enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a bookworm and loved all types of music. Erica loved her furbaby, Lady, very much.

Funeral Services will be held at 10am on October 1st at Lohmans Funeral Home located at 733 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach, FL 32174. Masks are required at the funeral home.

Memorial Donations in Erica's name may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation, the Halifax Humane Society, and the SMA Healthcare Foundation. Foundations that she loved.

The family would also like to thank the staff at Adventhealth in Ormond Beach for their amazing care of Erica. It is truly appreciated.
