Eric was known for his sweet, caring and loving nature, he loves with his big heart. Eric's passion for life was to become a father and raise a family like the one he so loved being a part of during his upbringing. He reached this dream with the birth of a daughter and son whom he loved beyond bounds along with one other stepson.

Eric Apicella, age 35, passed away at home in Ormond Beach on Tuesday, June 8. A native of this area, Eric lived and worked here for most of his life.  He graduated from Seabreeze Senior High School in 2004, and attended Daytona State College thereafter.  Eric soon found his career calling to be in auto sales following in his father Chris's footsteps.  Eric worked for a number of years at dealerships in the Daytona Auto Mall, and took a brief yet successful opportunity to join his brothers working in the oil fields of North Dakota before returning to Daytona Beach to continue his career at the Auto Mall. Eric participated in youth sports while growing up and loved his favorite sports of fishing, and dirt bike riding as well as enjoying the beach at every opportunity.  As part of a loving, caring family of Italian and Irish heritage, Eric was a Christian believer in his Lord Jesus Christ. Baptized in the Holy Catholic Church, Eric has certainly achieved his lifelong inspiration to enter the gates of Heaven. Eric leaves behind a grieving family and friends who will miss his overwhelming sweet nature until they meet once again.

Eric is survived by his loving parents, Chris and Linda Apicella; his daughter Mila, son Archer, stepson Ashton McBee; the mother of his children Cheyenne Ellis; his sister Danielle Apicella, his brothers Mark and Josh; and a large extended family of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins with whom he grew up. A celebration of Eric's life will take place on Wednesday, June 16 ^th at Lohman Funeral Home; 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach. The family will receive friends from 11:30 till 2:00 pm with services at 2:00 pm.

Eric's Christian burial will follow at Volusia Memorial Park in Ormond Beach.
