Eolia C. Hopkins, 90, a resident of Port Orange, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, December 2nd at Halifax Health Hospice. Eolia was born to Nicholas and Caroline Cutillo on September 12, 1925, in Garfield N.J. She was a long time resident of Hasbrouck Heights, N.J. before making the move to Florida in 1991. While living in New Jersey, Eolia entered into the real estate field, a career that would span nearly 50 years until her retirement just one year ago. Eolia was an outgoing and energetic woman, who enjoyed a spirited game of cards with friends or family, playing dominoes, traveling, and the theater; but above all else her greatest joy came from her family. She loved her family gatherings, especially the holidays, and would always look forward to seeing her family and close friends. Eolia was a long time member and chaplain of Unity Church in Holly Hill, The Italian American Club, The Red Hatters, and Seaside Music Theater. She will be missed by many. Eolia was predeceased by her five siblings, but leaves behind to cherish her memory her four daughters; Linda Lindner, Southbury, Ct., Patricia Mirabile (John), Veronica Garrett (Joe), both of Port Orange, and Theresa Nass (Rich) of Hasbrouck Heights, N.J. , her seven beloved grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, her many extended family members and of course her many dear friends. A Memorial Service in Eolia's honor will be held on Sunday, December 6 at Unity Church, 908 Ridgewood Ave. in Holly Hill beginning at 2:00 in the afternoon.
