Funeral Services for Emma Burris Davis 77 of Cocoa who passed away on October 2 2006 in Rockledge will be held on Thursday October 5 12 noon at the Daytona Chapel of Lohman Funeral Homes. Mrs. Davis was born in Carroll OH on August 5 1929 to the late Oscar and Emma Young. She lived in Volusia County for 28 years where she worked as a homemaker. She furthered her education at Daytona Beach Community College and in 1990 at 61 years of age she received an Associate degree in social work graduating with high honors. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church and a faithful listener. She is survived by her sons; Harold Burris David Burris and Philip Burris; daughters Pamela Powers and Nancy Rader; brother James Young; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold W. Burris of 39 years; and by her husband Everett Davis of 15 years.
