Mr. Emerson M. Wilson passed away on September 2 2010 at the age of 78. He resided in Flagler Beach and Ormond Beach FL. Originally from New York City Mr. Wilson was a veteran of the Korean War serving as a Weatherman with the US Air Force at the Pusan Air Base in Korea. He was later transferred to the West Point Air Station where he served until his discharge in 1956. Mr. Wilson attended the University of New York at Oneonta where he earned his Bachelor's and Master's degree in Education. Moving to Florida he entered the Brevard County School System teaching in Titusville until he retired in 1984. He then moved to Flagler Beach and worked at the Palm Coast Wal-Mart in the electronics dept. until 2003. Mr. Wilson loved to experience new things and traveled thoughout the Middle East Africa & the Mediterranean area. He also loved to write short stories and poems and received several awards for his work. He ran twice albeit unsuccessfully for the Flagler Beach City Commission. As a Solitary Wiccan Mr. Wilson always tried to follow the basic creed: ""Help if you can but do no harm."" Mr. Wilson is survived by a sister Elaine Wilson Ross of River Edge NJ; a brother James Wilson and his wife Miriam of Belford NJ; seven nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother Harold Wilson. A Memorial service will be held on Monday September 13 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Lohman Funeral Home-Ormond.
